Merchant charred to death

Sirsi: Shivaram Bhat (52), an arecanut merchant of Donagar village, was charred to death in his car after it caught fire on Friday, according to reports reaching here. He was returning home after attending “Sankalpotsav”, a cultural festival, at Yellapur. Former Minister R.V. Deshapande, S.M. Hebbar and Pramod Hegde have condoled the death of Mr. Bhat.
