Partymen raid Congress MP’s house

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Irate Congress workers on Sunday raided Narsapur MP Chegondi Harirama Jogaiah’s residence at Madhapur and broke window panes and flower pots protesting his controversial remarks against Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

The MP, in an interview, had charged that the Government was steeped in corruption with 15 per cent of the allocated funds for the irrigation projects being misused. He went on to allege that Dr. Reddy was a beneficiary. Irked by the comments, 100 slogan-shouting partymen barged into his apartment. They wanted the MP to resign from the Lok Sabha and the party.
