RDX used in attack on Dera chief’s convoy

Special Correspondent

CHANDIGARH: Karnal Superintendent of Police A.S. Chawla said on Sunday that high-power explosive material RDX was used in the attack on the convoy of the Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh near Nilokheri on Saturday.

Bakhshish Singh, a resident of village Samana in Punjab and an active member of Bhindranwala Tiger Force having links with the Khalistan Commando Force, has been identified as the mastermind, he said at Karnal.

Two persons were injured in the blast while the Baba, who was returning from Ambala after appearing before a CBI Court there, escaped unhurt.

He said the explosive was stored in the stepney of a 10-tyre truck, which passed alongside the convoy.
