Nirmith shines

MYSORE: An unbeaten century by Nirmith Nithyanand (117 not out) helped RBNCC ‘B’ register a 26-run win over RBNCC ‘A’ in the KSCA Mysore Zone first division league cricket match here on Sunday.

The scores: First division: RBNCC ‘B’ 291 for nine in 50 overs (Nirmith Nithyanand 117 n.o., A.M. Anirudh 41, D. Vijeth 40) bt RBNCC ‘A’ 265 in 48.4 overs (Dhananjaya Murari 86, Balasubramaniam 71, C. Sunil 40); FUCC 255 for nine decl. in 32.1 overs (Inclusive of 60 penalty runs for six overs short) (Manjunath 60) bt MCC 124 in 32.2 overs (Madhusudhan 50).

Second division: Jaihind ‘B’ 135 in 33.5 overs (Mallikarjun four for 45) bt New Nationals (N’gud) 64 in 12.5 overs (Roshan Karumbiah six for 23).

Third division: Srigandha CC 75 in 27.6 overs (Manu Hoysala four for eight) lost to FCC 79 for one in 10.2 overs (Anil Sawant 41 not out).
