CITU condemns arrest of workers

CHENNAI: The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) Tamil Nadu State Committee has condemned the arrest of Hyundai Motor Company workers who were waiting to accord reception to Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on Saturday. According to the police, 358 persons were arrested on Saturday as they tried to prevent Mr. Karunanidhi from inaugurating the car factory. The arrested persons were later released in the evening. — Special Correspondent
