Two Hindi-speaking people killed in Assam
Haflong: Two Hindi-speaking persons were killed and five houses set ablaze by “black widow” militants in central Assam’s North Cachar Hill district on Sunday night , police sources said.
The insurgents attacked Manderdisa village under Langtim police station around 10.45 p.m. and torched five houses.
Search launched
Two bodies were recovered from among the burnt houses by the police, who are investigating the incident, sources said. The area has been cordoned off and a massive search operation has been launched to track down the militants, sources added. — PTI
