NEW DELHI: A 42-year-old man allegedly hanged himself after killing his wife and two children in his house at Shalimar Bagh here on Saturday night. The police have recovered a suicide note from the house. The incident came to light when security guard Jai Singh returned home from his night shift in the morning. He found his son Ashok hanging from the ceiling. The bodies of Ashok’s wife Seema (25) and children Prabhat (8) and Rajan (5) from his first wife were found lying on the floor. Jai Singh informed the police. The police found a suicide note in which Ashok allegedly mentioned his wife’s infidelity as the reason for his taking the extreme step. Enquiries revealed that last December, Ashok’s wife had eloped with the supervisor of an industrial unit where she worked. Ashok lodged a complaint with the police, but he apparently did not get the desired response. However, he finally traced his wife to Lucknow and brought her back with the help of the police a few days ago. Ashok’s first wife had died during child-birth. Police suspiciousThough Ashok, who worked as a security guard at CC Block Shalimar Bagh on day shift, in his suicide note allegedly said he and the others were committing suicide, the police suspect that he first killed his wife and children, and then hanged himself. They are awaiting the post-mortem report.
