‘BJP stands for welfare of all’

Staff Correspondent

Chitradurga: People are slowly coming to understand that the Bharatiya Janata Party stands for the overall welfare of the people rather than only for the “upper castes”, BJP district president G.M. Suresh has said.

Speaking to presspersons after inducting industrialist Shashikumar Nayak and the former city municipal council member Mamata Loknathnayak into party here on Monday, he said the BJP was gaining strength with every new person that joined its ranks.

He said that leaders such as the former Bharamsagar MLA and Congress leader M. Chandrappa, Janata Dal (Secular) member N.R. Lakshmikant of Challakere and advocate Pilal Shivanna had joined the party.

District convener Dasri Kirtikumar was present on the occasion.
