Two Keralites killed in Oman building collapse

Dubai: Two Keralite workers were killed when a commercial building collapsed in the Omani capital of Muscat on Friday.

The duo were identified as Naufal Shamshuddin Karayiln, 22, and Vinod Kumar, 34. The bodies were recovered by the National Search and Rescue Team after a search operation. Lt. Col. Azhar bin Haroon Al Kindi, head of the National Civil Defence Committee, said the victims were buried under slabs and possibly died instantly. Two of Naufal’s friends escaped with minor injuries as they had ran out of the building soon after it started crashing down.
