Policy for small and medium units on anvil

CHENNAI: As a follow-up to New Industrial Policy 2007, the State Government will come out with a micro, small and medium enterprises policy to generate employment, Rural Industries Minister Pongalur N. Palanisamy said on Monday.

The meeting decided to increase the number of the Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation (TANSIDCO) industrial estates from 78 to 100 and construct multi-storeyed industrial sheds in three places near Chennai for housing small manufacturing units.
