Semifinalists spotted

VISAKHAPATNAM: Last year’s runner-up Marmugao, along with Tuticorin, Cochin and host Visakhapatnam entered the semifinals of the 32nd all-India Major Ports football championship at the Port stadium here on Monday.

Visakhapatnam earned a creditable draw against Marmugao in Pool ‘A’ to enter the last four.

Cochin beat Tuticorin by a solitary goal scored by Anand Kkumaran in the 50th minute in a Pool ‘B’ tie.

Chennai and Paradip played out a goalless draw in another match. — Special Correspondent
