Boys’ campus planned at Chinakondrapadu

GUNTUR: The NRI Academy will soon set up two residential Intermediate colleges, both for boys and girls, in Guntur. The boys’ campus is being set up at Chinakondrapadu and the girls’ college at Vidya Nagar.

A brochure of the academy was released on Sunday at its office in Lakshmipuram by MLC (teachers’ constituency) K.S. Lakshmana Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, he expressed happiness at the niche created by various educational institutions being run by the academy in the corporate educational sector and hoped that the new colleges would too reach the standards set by other institutions.

Former Mayor and NRI Academy Dean Chukka Yesuratnam said that the academic institutions were being developed based on values and inputs drawn from a teaching experience spanning four decades. Academy executive director A. Tilak Babu said that two courses, MPC and BiPC were being started from next academic year in English medium. Secretary and correspondent Alapati Rajendra Prasad and others were present.
