Ballia: Passengers of a local train had a miraculous escape when its general compartment caught fire at Maldepur railway station on Lucknow-Chapra section of north-eastern railway, railway sources said on Monday. The compartment was totally gutted in the fire but the passengers received only minor injuries as they jumped out it on time, they said. Movement of trains in the section was affected due to the incident, they said.
