Medninagar: A middle-aged man allegedly raped and murdered a minor girl at Bhergawan in Jharkhand’s Palamu district. A vendor Bablu Singh raped and killed the four-year-old girl on Sunday night after luring her with groundnuts, Deputy S.P. Aswini Kumar Sinha said. Singh strangulated and crushed her head with a stone to conceal evidence, Mr. Sinha said. Police said he confessed to his crime after being thrashed by the villagers.
