Doctors threaten to resume strike

Staff Reporter

Thiruvananthapuram: With the State government making it clear that it will not consider pay revision or setting up a special committee to look into their pay-scale anomalies, as suggested by the Kerala High Court, government doctors are preparing to go on the warpath again.

The doctors had temporarily suspended their two-month non-cooperation strike following the court’s intervention.

Reacting to the government’s stance, the Kerala Government Medical Officers’ Association (KGMOA) made it clear that they had at no point agreed to withdraw the strike completely.
