KOCHI: Justice V. Ramkumar on Monday asked the counsel for the CBI to inform him about the steps taken to investigate the death of Sister Abhaya after receiving the test result of narco-analysis test conducted on the suspects in the case. The court issued an oral directive when a petition filed by the father of Abhaya seeking an investigation on the basis of narco-analysis test report came up for hearing. Notice to Kashmir DGPJustice R. Basant on Monday issued notice to the Director-General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, and Union Home Secretary on a bail petition filed by a suspected Hizbul Mujahideen activist arrested from Kumali in Idukki district. The court issued the notices after allowing a petition seeking to implead them in the bail petition filed by Altaf Ahamad Khan. Mr. Khan who had been working in a handicraft showroom in Kumali was arrested on January 5. Judicial probe sought A public interest writ petition was filed before the High Court seeking a judicial inquiry by a retired High Court judge into the HMT land deal. The petition was filed by Gokul Prasad of Palakkad.
