Botsa’s advice to TDP leaders

Correspondent

VIZIANAGARAM: Minister for Housing Botsa Satyanarayana has asked TDP leaders T. Devender Goud, K. Yerran Naidu, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Nagam Janardhana Reddy to clarify, first of all, to the allegations made against TDP by Ch. Harirama Jogaiah, Congress MP, instead of seeking an explanation from Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

At a press conference on Monday, Mr. Satyanarayana recalled that Mr. Jogaiah had made controversial remarks against both Congress and TDP. Describing his remarks against Congress as a “family issue,” he said his party would set things right on its own. “We have already given clarifications to his remarks,” he said and suggested them to stop double speak.

Terming TDP’s BC Garjana a damp squib, the Minister said that Reddy Satyanarayana, former TDP Minister and a BC leader, resigned a day after the meeting alleging raw deal to BCs during the TDP rule.

Replying to a query, the Minister said progress on urban housing was discouraging and added that tenders were being finalised in a couple of days for construction of about 70,000 houses, including Vizianagaram town.

He said that 12 lakh houses under ‘Indiramma’ were completed in rural areas.
