Four killed in road accidents

KANCHEEPURAM: Four persons, including a policeman, were killed in three different road accidents on Sunday.

Constable Avudaiyappan of Chennai was on his way back to that city on a motorcycle after his duty near Chengalpattu. He was knocked down by a MTC bus near the old bus stand at Chengalpattu.

He died in the Government General Hospital, Chennai.

In another accident, Ganesan (50) of Vadamanapakkam was injured after he was hit by a motorcycle near the Santhavelur bus stop. He died in the Government Hospital at Sriperumpudur.

A motorcyclist and a pillion-rider died after their vehicle collided with a motorized three-wheeler near Vengudi. While motorcycle driver Ramkumar of Kancheepuram died on the spot, pillion rider Vijayaraghavan of Kadaladi, Ramanathapuram, succumbed to injuries in the Chengalpattu Medical College Hospital.
