KOLKATA: Brazilian Jose Ramirez Barreto headed home a Mohan Raj throw-in in the 34th minute against relegation-threatened Salgaocar SC to keep Mohun Bagan in the hunt for the I-League title in a 15th round game at the Salt Lake Stadium here on Monday. The win, the eighth for the former champion, helped the Kolkata outfit reach 27 points. Salgaocar has seven points from seven draws in 15 matches. Viva Kerala loses againMeanwhile, in another tie of the I-League at Kozhikode, Viva Kerala was beaten 3-1 by Churchill Brothers and is moving closer to relegation. Viva is lying second from the bottom with 12 points from 15 games, with just three games left. With this win, Churchill has taken its tally to 29 points, just one point behind the leader, Dempo, which, however, has played a game less than the Goans. Odafe Onyeka Okolie (2) and Mboyo were successful for the winner while Salil scored for Viva.
