Woman killed

A woman, who was given lift by a motorcyclist, met with an accident at Kakani Nagar in the early hours of Monday.

According to the police, Butchireddy Ramanamma, 26, of Sheela Nagar sought lift by a motorcyclist P. Suresh Kumar at the NAD Kotha Road to go to Gajuwaka. But the two-wheeler skidded on the road resulting in severe head injuries to the woman.

The 108 ambulance which reached the spot found the woman dead. After the vehicle left, the motorcyclist allegedly pushed the woman’s body into the nearby shurbs and left the scene.

The police traced the motorcyclist after inquiring with the ambulance crew.
