No chicken for zoo animals

Chicken has been taken off the diet of animals of Indira Gandhi Zoological Park from the last two weeks in the wake of the bird flu outbreak in several parts of West Bengal. Pork and beef are being given to the animals instead of chicken. Other food supplements are also added in the diet of the aged animals. “We are taking all precautionary measures for the safety of the animals,” zoo curator Rahul Pandey said.
