Demand to hike milk price

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Pradesh Karshaka Congress Committee has warned the government of an agitation if it failed to hike milk prices before February 15.

Committee president Lal Vargese Kalpakavadi and general secretary George P. Sajith told reporters here on Monday that increasing milk production was not Milma’s responsibility. The government should provide interest-free loans, set up district mobile veterinary units and provide cattle feed at reasonable rates.
