Vijender Gupta threatens to lodge FIR against Sheila “Not possible to de-seal properties as per notification”
NEW DELHI: Accusing the Delhi Government of deriving political mileage out of the Centre’s recent order on suspending sealing and demolitions operations in the Capital, MCD Standing Committee Chairman Vijender Gupta has threatened to lodge an FIR against Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president J. P. Agarwal “for misleading the people on the issue”.
Gupta’s statement
In a statement on Monday, Mr. Gupta said: “This is an attempt to misguide the people.
“It is not possible to de-seal all the properties as per the notification and it appears to be a mere political tool to placate the residents. The scope of de-sealing and no punitive action is limited to encroachment or unauthorised development.
“The suspension and no punitive action will be limited to those unauthorised colonies, village abadi areas and extensions that existed on March 31, 2002.”
