Karim refutes reports on HMT land deal
Thiruvananthapuram: Industries Minister Elamram Karim on Monday refuted reports that he had stated that the government would go ahead with the Cyber City project even if the sale deal between HMT and private company Blue Star Realtors was cancelled.
A statement issued by the Minister’s office said the project was an information technology project and it was for the Information Technology Department to decide on how to proceed further on the matter.
It was for the IT department to take a decision on whether to give sanction to the project or not, the release said.
This was part of a smear campaign unleashed by a section of the media on the HMT land scandal, the release added. — PTI
