This Day That Age
Mr. M.L. Bharadhwaj, Registrar of Newspapers, who is on an official visit to Madras and Trivandrum, arrived in Madras on February 4 by air from Delhi. Mr. Bharadhwaj will stay in the city for two days and leave for Trivandrum on the morning of February 6. He will meet the members of the Regional Committee of the I.E.N.S. for holding discussions in connection with the new procedure to be adopted for licensing imports of newsprint. In an informal talk with pressmen in Madras, he pointed out that the successful implementation of the Press and Registration of Books Act would largely depend on the cooperation of the State Government.
