For a shelter: Indiramma survey under way. ANANTAPUR: Collector N. Sridhar asked the housing officials to timely supply all the material for sanctioned houses as per the requirement. He also asked the field staff of the housing department to improve their functioning. He inspected the progress of houses sanctioned under the second phase of Indiramma scheme in Razapuram village of Gooty mandal in the district on Tuesday. He asked the beneficiaries to complete the houses fast and start living in them from Ugadi. The officials stated that 167 houses were sanctioned to the village and of them 55 were completed till basement level, 26 till the roof level and 41 in different stages. The remaining 45 were yet to be grounded. In a review meeting on Indiramma housing the Collector stated that 88 per cent of the houses sanctioned in rural areas in the first phase were completed so far. In the second phase, the district was first in the State in terms of progress of sanctioned houses. About 1.1 lakh houses were sanctioned in the first phase. More than one lakh houses were grounded out of 2.2 lakh houses sanctioned in the second phase.
