ALAPPUZHA: Transport Minister Mathew T. Thomas has called upon the public to cooperate with the government to tide over the severe water crisis in the State. Inaugurating an international seminar on ‘Climate changes and water crisis’ organised by the Bishop Moore College in association with the University Grants Commission at Mavelikara on Monday, the Minister said the rights of the common man were being violated by monopolist companies that were exploiting the State’s ground water resources for profits. Rt. Rev. Thomas Samuel, exhorted the participants for carbon-free energy utilisation.
