MCD to begin de-sealing today

NEW DELHI: In keeping with the recent notification by the Union Urban Development Ministry, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi will start de-sealing properties in the Capital’s unauthorised colonies and village “abadi” areas starting Wednesday. In a statement on Tuesday, MCD Standing Committee Chairman Vijender Gupta said: “Even though the Supreme Court-appointed Monitoring Committee had directed us not to de-seal any property, we will initiate the de-sealing action after informing the Lieutenant-Governor tomorrow.”
