Protest over power shutdown

KOLAR GOLD FIELDS: Activists of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) staged a protest in front of Bangalore Electric Supply Company office here on Monday condemning the frequent unscheduled power shutdowns in the city. Power disruption without intimation is causing hardship to the public, the organisation said. DYFI local committee secretary P. Tangaraj submitted a memorandum to Executive Engineer Umashankar urging her to solve the problem. — Staff Correspondent
