Actor Sarath Kumar, who is busy organising his first state-wide party meet, is also giving the final touches to ‘Vaitheeswaran’, produced by Annamalai Films. The movie is due for release this month.

Director R.K. Vidyadharan says it is a different kind of film for Sarath Kumar fans. “The film is about reincarnation, and the hero Sarath Kumar plays a psychiatrist. He does not believe in reincarnation. The manner in which he solves a puzzle has been narrated in an interesting way.”

As the film starts at Vaitheeswaran temple, the director made it the name of the film.

Asked about the delay in completing the project, which began nearly two years ago, the director says actors Shyaji Shinde and Vijay Prasad were busy with projects in their respective languages. “When they gave dates I was not able to get dates of our stars.”

Actor Meghna Naidu plays the female lead, and the cast also includes actors Manobala, Vijayakumar and Santhanam. The film has three songs set to music by Sreekanth Deva. S. Saravanan and Pannerselvam have handled the camera.
