Neel Metal regularises its workforce

CHENNAI: Neel Metal Fanalca Environment Management (NMF) has announced that workers engaged through sub-contractors would be taken on its rolls.

By regularising the services of its contract manpower, the company has raised the staff strength to 2,300 from the earlier 1,450.

S. Pattabhiraman, vice-president, NMF, has said the regularisation would improve the morale of employees. They would now be entitled to the benefits of PF, ESI, attendance incentive and regular holidays.

NMF is currently moving solid waste from the Ice House, Kodambakkam and Adyar zones to landfills.

It has initiated an awareness campaign on source segregation, the release added.
