New Delhi: The former American envoy to India, William Clark Jr., passed away in Washington, U.S. Ambassador David C. Mulford said. Mr. Clark, who was the Ambassador between 1989 and 1992, died on January 22, Mr. Mulford said. He was also the Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs from 1992 to 1993. — PTI
