KOCHI: Aston University in Birmingham, the U.K., is targeting engineering students from the State for their M.Sc. programmes in science and engineering. Liza Rodger, International Officer of the university, said here on Wednesday that the aim of the university was to have quality graduates on the campus. She said the programmes offered by the business school and the M.Sc. programmes in business, marketing, engineering and telecom were much in demand among students from India. She said the university offered scholarships ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 pounds. The fee for postgraduate programmes was between 10,000 and 13,000 pounds a year. The MBA programme cost around 20,000 pounds. She said research was a major part of the M.Sc. programmes. Aston had links with the industry in the U.K., she said. She said the university planned to launch an M.Sc. programme in biotechnology in September. She said students from Kerala could seek more information about the university’s academic programmes on www.aston.ac.uk or contact the Kochi-based Graduate Overseas (phone: 0484-3252323).
