Tamil channel in Dubai soon

TIRUCHI: ‘Tamilarabia,’ a Tamil entertainment channel, will be launched on March 3 in Dubai.

Announcing this at a press meet on Wednesday, Director-Technical of the channel R. Udayakumar said it would be the first Tamil channel in Dubai and transmitted in 46 countries including Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Italy, Turkey, Greece, France and Spain.

The two-hour entertainment channel seeks to bring out the cultural talent of Tamils in Dubai through broadcast of variety entertainment programme.

It will go live for 30 minutes and will cover 40 lakh Tamil population in these countries, Mr. Udayakumar said.
