NIFT function on February 17

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The foundation stone for the Kannur centre of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will be laid on February 17. The centre is being set up near the Government Engineering College at Mangattuparamba. A function in this regard will be chaired by Industries Minister Elamaram Karim. An official press release said discussions were on with NIFT authorities on starting classes for various courses beginning next academic year. — Special Correspondent
