One-day training meeting
Chittoor: A one-day training programme on ‘Indiramma Cheruvulu’ was held here on Wednesday for the engineers of Irrigation, Water Supply and Panchayat Raj departments.
Addressing the meeting, district Collector S.S. Rawat exhorted the engineers to take up work on Indiramma Cheruvulu and complete them before the on set of rainy season.
Further, he asked them to select one tank with an ayacut of 100 acres in each Gram Panchayat and take up work under the NREGS.
DWMA PD Murali told one levelling instrument for each mandal would be given, which will be capable to undertake work on two ‘Indiramma Cheruvulu’.
Fazallulla Irrigation SE and Panchayat Raj SE Suryanarayana Murthy among others were participated in the meeting.
