PUDUCHERRY: There would be interruption in power supply at 16 areas from 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, owing to maintenance work to be carried out in the 22 KV feeders at Moolakulam and Valluvanpet. According to a release issued by the Electricity Department, the areas which would experience the interruption in power supply include Valluvanpet, Poraiyur, Poraiyurpet, Ossudu, Sulthanpet, Muthupillaipalayam, Gopalankadai, Pitchaveeranpet, Moolakulam, MGR Nagar, Oulgaret, Muthirapalayam, G.N.Palayam, Natarajan Nagar, Arumparthapuram and Thakkakuttai. In a separate release, the department said Rainbow Nagar, Venkata Nagar, Kamaraj Nagar, Vysial street, Kalatheeswarankoil Street, Kurusukuppam and parts of Kamaraj Salai, Kumaragurupallam, T.V.Nagar, S.V.Patel Salai, Perumalkoil street, Sankaradoss street, Thiyagaraja street, Muthumariammankoil street, Easwarankoil street, Aravindar street, M.G.Road, Anna Salai and Vaithikuppam would also experience interruption in power supply between 8 am to 6 pm, owing to maintenance works on the HT feeder at the Marapalam sub-station.
