Computer science meet on February 9, 10

Special Correspondent

PUDUCHERRY: An all-India computer science students’ technical meet, ‘Recursion-2008,’ would be conducted by the Computer Science Department, Ramanujan School of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Pondicherry University on February 9 and 10.

Functionaries of PIXEL, the computer science students’ association of the university, told reporters here on Wednesday that around 50 colleges would be represented at the meet, which served as a medium for students to interact with various leading personalities from the IT industry.

Inviting officials from the industry to the meet would help the university in getting some exposure in terms of campus recruitment, they said, adding that the industry would also get a feedback from the students on various technical and managerial skills. Recursion was an annual event conducted traditionally on the second Saturday and Sunday of every February since 1995, they added.
