Thiruvananthapuram: The police will restrict traffic movement in the city from 9 a.m. on Attukal Pongala day in the city on February 22. Parking of vehicles will not be allowed on the Spencer Junction-Overbridge stretch and the Overbridge-Vanchiyoor-General Hospital road. The police will set up traffic aid posts at Attakulangara, Injackal, Uppidamoodu, Killipalam and M.G. Road for guiding devotees. Devotees can seek police assistance at 100 and 1090 (Crime Stopper). No vehicles will be allowed beyond Ayurveda College. Drivers of vehicles carrying devotees should deposit passengers at Ayurveda College junction and proceed for parking on the sides of the Chakka-Injackal national highway pass through the Uppidammoodu-Vanchiyoor-Pettah-Chakka route. This route is recommended mainly for vehicles coming to city through the national highway and main central road junction at Kesavadasapuram. Drivers of vehicles entering from Thiruvallam area should take the Bypass-Aryankuzhy road and drop their passengers at Kamaleshwaram.
