Aranmula fete concludes

Ritual end: The Arattu procession held as part of the annual festival at the Parthasarathy Temple in Aranmula on Wednesday.

PATHANATHITTA: The 10-day annual festival at Sree Parthasarathy Temple at Aranmula came to a close with the Arattu ceremony on Wednesday.

Hundreds of devotees took part in the ceremonial Arattu procession in the afternoon. Tantri Vasudevan Bhattathirpad of Memana Illom, assisted by the K.S.Sankaran Namboodiri, led the Arattu rituals.

Earlier, the Tantri had brought down the ceremonial flag at 11 a.m. A classical music concert by Dr Pranavom Sankaran Namboodiri followed by a ganamela by playback singers, B.Arundhati and Balagopalan Thampi, were held, later, in the evening.
