Mayor’s absence criticised

NEW DELHI: The Leader of the Opposition in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, J. K. Sharma, has criticised the absence of Mayor Arti Mehra, Leader of the House Subhash Arya and Standing Committee Chairman Vijender Gupta from an “important” budget meeting on Wednesday.

“This is contempt of the House. The three senior members had gone for an inspection of the Ghazipur meat processing plant instead of attending the meeting,” Mr. Sharma said.
