ADILABAD: Stung by the contention of Adilabad Zilla Parishad chairman Rathod Ramesh that members of the local body were not supposed to demand for accounts related to budget and expenditure, Congress Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) members staged a walk out of the general body meeting on Wednesday. C. Ramchander Reddy, the lone Congress MLA present at the meeting followed suit saying the voice of Congress members was being throttled by the chairman belonging to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and joined a sit in by the members on the steps of the ZP. For the second successive day, Congress members demanded a statement on the status of allocations to different ZPT constituencies before going into the agenda. TDP members voiced their opposition to the demand saying the meeting should consider only the agenda. Both the groups trooped near the podium. Mr. Ramchander Reddy accused the chairman of bias in allocation of funds.
