Madhubani: Three members of a family were killed and another seriously wounded by unidentified assailants in Bihar’s Madhubani district, police said on Wednesday. The assailants killed Gangaram Mahto (45), his wife Nagina (40) and daughter Priyanka (13) by slitting their throats and inflicted serious stab wounds on his son Ranjit Mahto (16) at Durgapatti village late on Tuesday night. The reason behind the attack was not yet known, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shivji Thakur said. Enraged over the incident, villagers blocked the Kaluahi-Madhvapur main road demanding the district magistrate and police superintendent visit the place of incident and announce a compensation.
