“Rupin Katiyal was stabbed 28 times”

Patiala: The brutal face of the hijackers of the Indian Airlines plane to Kandahar in 1999 got revealed in the manner in which Delhi-based Rupin Katiyal was done to death on board the aircraft when it was in Amritsar.

According to the post-mortem report, Katiyal was stabbed 28 times, which was enough to cause his death, said the judge, who tried three persons for helping the hijackers with logistics. The body was thrown on the tarmac of an airbase near Dubai. — PTI
