THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram Fast Track Court Judge M.R. Anitha on Wednesday sentenced Raghu, 45, a resident of Attingal to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 after he was found guilty of murdering Unni, a resident of Kuzhivila near Attingal following an altercation in May 1997. If fine is not paid, the convict will have to undergo rigorous imprisonment for another two years. The court directed that the fine be paid to the mother of the victim. The Public Prosecutor was Konniyoor S. Harichandran. —Staff Reporter
