Monorail systemSpeaking at the function at North Avenue, Mr. Yusuf said that to improve public transport the Delhi Government was also planning to introduce the monorail system. He said while the project had been approved by the Delhi Cabinet, the mode of execution of the project would be decided now and the expression of interest would be floated by July. More taxis by 2009The Minister said that since the road space was limited, the idea was to improve the public transport system. The radio taxis were also part of this plan and their number was expected to increase from around 2,000 at present to 5,000 by 2009, he added.
