A polished show on stone

BANGALORE: STONA 2008 is indeed a big affair with stone. The five-day exhibition, touted to be the biggest in Asia, was inaugurated at Palace Grounds here on Wednesday and will be on till February 10.

Holding of STONA Fairs has been a major activity of the All India Granites and Stone Association (AIGSA) and this time, it features 2,100 stalls from over 400 exhibitors from not only India, but also Italy, China, Turkey, Egypt and some other parts of Europe too.

AIGSA officials have made it clear that, “There will be no sale of products in the exhibition, the fair is a hub to get educated about stones and see the products.
