BIDAR: Members of Shree Papnash Mahadev Trust, Bidar, have urged the Deputy Commissioner to direct Air Force Station, Bidar, to install pipeline to prevent discharge of sewage to Papnash temple premises. In a memorandum submitted to the Deputy Commissioner here on Thursday, trust president C.M. Shetkar said: “It is important to stop discharge of sewage since it is causing nuisance.” The memorandum said that Air Force Station officials had not made any arrangements to stop sewage from flowing to temple premises. The Air Force Station was not sticking to the agreement reached with the trust, on discharge of sewage. BorewellsThe memorandum said that City Municipal Council had dug borewells on the temple premises to supply water to residents of Shivnagar and the Air Force Station. The borewell has resulted in depletion of water source and was putting devotees into hardship owing to lack of sufficient water.
