KSEB bags women’s title

KOCHI: Sonia Joseph sparkled as KSEB, Thiruvananthapuram, defeated Thalassery SAI 56-38 and won the women’s title in the 25th Thebasco South India basketball tournament at the floodlit Sacred Heart School court, Thevara, on Thursday.

Sonia was adjudged as the best player among women.

Fort Kochi’s Saji Joseph was named as the best in the veterans event which concluded on Wednesday.

The results: Women’s final: KSEB, Tvm 56 (Sonia Joseph 19, Simi Jose Kavalakatt 13) bt SAI, Thalassery 38 (Sheena Joseph 11). Best player: Sonia Joseph. – Principal Correspondent
