Chirashanthi claims title

MANDYA: Top seed Chirashanthi and unseeded S. Kamal claimed the women’s and men’s singles titles in the tennis event of the State Games which concluded at the PET College courts here on Wednesday. While Chirashanthi prevailed over her elder sister and number 2 Anupama Rajur in an all-Mysore clash at 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(3), Bangalore’s S. Kamal outclassed a weary Santosh Venkatraman, seeded fourth, 7-5, 6-0.
